Infant Menu Method

We have three methods for recording infant menus

  1. Infant Menu by Date
  2. Infant Menu by Name - All Participants
  3. Infant Menu by Name - Based on Meal Attendance

Infant Menu by Date

This method has one menu that covers all infants.

Infant Menu by Name - All Participants

This method displays all infants on the screen and users are only required to fill in the food items and quantities for those infants that were offered the meal. (Leave the rows blank for those infants that are not at that meal.) Since this option does not require a meal count before the infant menu, we are using the infant feeding log as a proxy for the meal count. Those infants that will be checked in for a meal after completion of the infant feeding log are highlighted in yellow.

Because we do not know who will attend the meal, we do NOT prefill the planned infant menu (infant menu by date) into the infant menu screen. If you would like to transfer the planned infant menu to this screen, you must use the Infant Menu by Name - based on meal attendance as described below.

Infant Menu by Name - Based on Meal Attendance

This method requires that infants are checked in for a meal first and displays the infants on the screen that were checked in for the meal. Since this option requires a meal count before the infant menu, we can prefill the planned infant menu (infant menu by date) into the infant menu screen.
