Add a Single Day Closure/Holiday/Field Trip [Feature]

This feature allows users to provide prior notification to their sponsor of a field trip or closure so that a monitoring visit is not attempted.

To use this feature:

  • Click on Field Trips, Closure or School Release Days on the main dashboard.

  • On the Closures page, click the blue Add Single Day button in the upper-right corner.
  • Complete the fields
    • Reason Off Site
      • Select from field trip, closure, holiday or other/not claiming
      • A field trip will not prevent users from entering meal counts nor will meal counts that were recorded prior the field trip entry be disallowed. Field trips also do not add a red X to menu calendar
      • Recording a closure, holiday or other/not claiming will prevent meal counts from being entered and places a red X on the menu calendar. Any meal counts entered prior the closure will be disallowed.
    • Date Off Site (required)
    • Meals not served at site (required)
    • Upload Form (optional)
    • Notes (optional)


  • When you have completed all the fields, click the green "Save" button.
