Editing Menus
Menus can be edited unless:
- Menus are required before meal counts and a meal count has been entered
- A food production record has been finalized.
- A claim has been processed for the month.
- A monitoring visit was recorded that meal. On the visit screen, there is a question that says, "Does the meal observed serve these food items? If the sponsor answers "Yes" or "No", then menu editing is locked.
- If the sponsor answers Yes, we want to lock the menu from being edited so that we ensure that what was recorded on the monitoring form matches what is in My Food Program

- If the sponsor answers No, then we will disallow meals. The menu editing is locked because we don't want to allow the center or provider to change the menu after the monitoring visit.

To remove the lock on menu editing because of a monitoring visit, remove the selection of "Yes" and "No" from the visit screen

To edit a planned menu:
- Click on “Menu” on the main dashboard.
- Click on the date and meal you wish to edit.
- Remove, add or substitute the food items.
- Click “Save”. If the menu you planned meets the meal pattern requirements, then you will be re-directed to the Meal Details page. If your menu does not meet the meal pattern requirements, you will see info boxes in red that will identify the errors.
