Searching the Food Database

While adding food items to menus, you can search the food database if the food item you need is not on your Favorite Foods dropdown. The My Food Program food database contains only creditable food items. Sponsor have the ability to manage food items that are available for providers or centers to add to their menus.

• Click on “Menu” on the main dashboard. This will take you to the menu calendar.

• On the menu calendar, click on the date and meal type for which you want to enter a menu. This will take you to the meal details screen.
• On the meal details screen, click on the blue “Edit Menu” button.

• Type the search term in the box with "search" and click the magnifying glass to complete the search
• We recommend keeping your search term broad as the system will not recognize mis-spelled words or partial matches.
• Select the food from the dropdown to add it to your menu.
