Milk Shortage Policy
This feature allows users to identify milk shortages in addition to food shortages. This feature does not duplicate the milk audit feature as the milk audit is meant to determine that sufficient milk was purchased whereas the milk shortage is meant to determine that sufficient milk was served using the food production record as a basis.
To turn on this new feature:
- Login as a sponsor user.
- Click on the green tab for Setup.
- Click on the icon for Sponsor Setup.
- Under the “Milk Shortage Policy” select “Include milk shortages with food shortages".
If this feature is turned on, then:
- Food production records with a milk shortage will trigger the error Meal disallowed for food shortage.
- Those shortages will appear on the Food Shortage report.
- The milk amounts will be included if food production records are corrected for shortages.
