Pre-Qualifying Month
This feature stores information about the month that a for-profit center was able to demonstrate that at least 25% of the participants are
- in the Free or Reduced income eligibility category OR
- eligible for Title XIX or Title XX benefits.
To set the Pre-Qualifying Month:
- Click on Site Details from the main site dashboard.
- Scroll down to the section for "Additional Site Information"
- Enter the Pre-Qualifying Month
- Scroll down to the bottom or scroll up to the top of the page and click the green Save button.
If the dropdown for Profit Status is set to "For Profit" and the site is a Child Care Center or Adult Day Care, then during claims creation, the system will automatically check that the Participant Claim Roster has at least 25% of the participants are
If the 25% threshold is not met using that method, then the system will try to use the licensed capacity as a denominator.
If the 25% threshold cannot be met through either the Participant Claim Roster or the licensed capacity, then all the meals are disallowed with the claim error, Claiming Percentage Below 25 Percent.
