Profit Status

Indicate if the site is for-profit or non-profit.

If the site is a child care center or adult day care program and marked as for-profit, then we will do a check during claims processing to ensure that the site is eligible to claim. We ensure that at least 25% of the participants included in the claim are in the Free or Reduced income eligibility category. If the site does not qualify to claim, each meal count will have an error on it that states, "Claiming Percentage below 25 Percent"

This cross-check does not apply to family day care homes, afterschool programs, emergency shelters or summer food sites.
