Receives Subsidized Care

Child Care and Adult Day Centers that are for-profit institutions need to prove that at least 25% of the participants for a claim month are either:
- Eligible for free- or reduced-price meals - OR -
- Social Security Act Title XIX (adult care only) or Title XX beneficiaries
The "Receives Subsidized Care" is for designating that a participant is a Social Security Act Title XIX or Title XX beneficiary.
During claims processing, the system will look at the Participant Claim Roster for any for-profit child care or adult day center and ensure that the 25% threshold is met. If not, then all meals will be disallowed with reason "Claiming Percentage Below 25 Percent"

- Click on Participants & Rosters from the main site dashboard

- Click on the name of the participant
- Scroll down to the checkbox labeled "Receives Subsidized Care"

- Add or remove the selection
- Note that because this checkbox can impact a claim, it is only able to be changed by a sponsor user; it is greyed out for site-level users
- Click Save and you will be sent to the household page for that participant
