Require Finalized Food Production Records Before Meal Counts

If this box is checked, centers are required to complete the following tasks prior to taking a meal count on a non-infant roster:

1. Enter a menu
2. Create a food production record
3. Finalize that food production record

Finalizing a food production record has the following consequences:

• The menu can no longer be changed
• The food production record can no longer be changed

Sponsors do have the ability to un-finalize a food production record if they wish, but the center cannot do that on their own. 

Remember that if the sponsor has “Meals Disallowed for Food Shortages” error enabled and the food production record shows that not enough food was prepared, all meal counts for that meal or snack will be disallowed.
