Special Needs - allowed to claim over age 13 [Feature]
This feature allows users to mark a participant as special needs and skip the validation for age. USDA regulations state that persons with disabilities can be reimbursed for meals, even if their age is outside that which is typically allowed for the site type.
To use this feature:
- Click on Participants & Rosters from the main site dashboard.
- Click on the hyperlink for the name of the participant.
- Scroll down to the checkbox for Special Needs - allowed to claim over age 13.
- Make your selection.
- Note that because this checkbox can impact a claim, it is only able to be changed by a sponsor user; it is greyed out for site-level users
- Click Save and you will be sent to the household page for that participant.
