Default Age for Infant Developmental Readiness for Solid Foods

This option will let sponsors set the default age for when children are designated as developmentally-ready for solid foods and are therefore required on infant menus.
Infants that are developmentally ready for vegetables or fruits must be offered one at all meals and snacks or the error Missing Infant Menu will be triggered during claim checks.
Infants that are developmentally ready for grains or meat/meat alternates must have
- iron-fortified infant cereal or a meat/meat alternate a meals and
- iron-fortified infant cereal or a grain at a snack.
If a component is missing, the error Missing Infant Menu will be triggered during claim checks.

Providers or centers will be able to adjust these dates from your defaults unless you prevent them from doing so by using the sponsor policy Allow site level users to create and edit Infant Development Readiness Dates.
The system defaults to setting developmental readiness at 6 months, but sponsors can also select to set it at
