Staff Roles

Site-level users can be assigned one of three roles:

  • Site Manager/Director
  • Staff
  • Kitchen Staff
*You can also select whether to allow users to record hours for others.

Site Manager/Director:

They have full access to all features, including the ability to view confidential household income eligibility status information. This is what their dashboard looks like:

Kitchen Staff:

While kitchen staff have access to the “Participants & Rosters” button, they do not have the ability to view confidential household income eligibility status information. They are able to see the effective dates of an income form, but not the status (A-Free/B-Reduced/C-Paid). They are also not able to add an income form. This is what their dashboard looks like:

This is what their Household Income view looks like:

Staff:

As with kitchen staff users, staff cannot see confidential household income eligibility status information. Refer to the permissions matrix for a detailed list of the functionality for each user type.

*User Allowed to Record Hours for Other Users

This feature is for sites that use My Food Program to record their hours for the purposes of time distribution reports and/or expense tracking. Sponsors have the ability to authorize site-level users to record hours on behalf of others. For example, if a center director is taking timesheets from another system and entering the data into My Food Program for CACFP-specific recordkeeping, then they would need to record hours on behalf of others.
