Provider's Child or Residential Child

This checkbox is only displayed for family child care homes and provides the option to indicate that the child is subject to special rules about claiming. This checkbox includes provider's children, co-provider's children and helper's children.
Children who have this box checked can only be claimed if:
- They are income eligible
- There is a Tier I designation for Provider Income or Provider Case Number -OR-
- There is an income form on file for their household and that income form is Tier I and the reason is either "Provider's Own Child Allowed to Claim because of a Case Number or "Providers Own Child Allowed to Claim because of Income Verification" -AND-
- Eating with children that are not the provider's own
- There is at least one child checked in for a meal that is NOT the provider's own child or other residential child
If these conditions are not met, the following claim errors will be generated:

- Click on Participants & Rosters from the main site dashboard

- Click on the name of the participant
- Scroll down to the checkbox labeled "Provider's Child or Residential Child"

- Make your selection
- Click Save and you will be sent to the household page for that participant
