Meal Claimed for Participant Who is a Non-CACFP Participant

How it Gets Triggered

A participant has been marked in for a meal with the non-CACFP program type. Note: in most cases, this error should proceed and we only display it so that providers or centers are aware that some of their meals will not be claimed.

How to Get Details

Ineligible Participant Report will have a list of non-CACFP participants.


The Disallowed Meals Report will list the participants with this error. For this error, we recommend that you run the Summary version of the report.

What a Provider or Center Can Do

Ensure that the correct Participant Program Type was entered for this participant. If they are supposed to be claimed, then change them from Non-CACFP to another valid Participant Program Type

What a Sponsor Can Do

If the claim is already created and you want to override this error and include the meals in the claim for reimbursement, you can create a manual claim adjustment.
