Meal Outside of Normal Schedule

This feature is for sites that need to mark that a participant is eating a meal that isn't on their enrollment form, which lists the typical meals received while in care. It is only compatible with meal count by name methods.
If you don't see this box on the page where you take meal counts, then your sponsor does not have this feature enabled.
If you see this option, you check the box and provide a reason, the error "Meal Served to Participant Outside of Participant Normal Schedule" will not be triggered.

To use this feature:
- Click on the meal count button on the main site dashboard.
- Depending on your settings, it will look like one of the buttons below.

- Check the box labeled "Meal Outside of Normal Schedule".
- Type a reason in the box.

- Click the green Save button.

- To make this feature show up, two settings need to be enabled:
- This feature is unavailable for adult day care, emergency shelter, afterschool and summer food since those site types do not have enrollment forms required.
- If you are disallowing AM snack or lunch for a school age child on a weekday or disallowing AM snack or lunch for children 6 years or older and a school release or summer day is entered, then it is not necessary to check that the meal is outside the schedule and provide a reason. An on-screen message will remind users of this.

- If a center, site or provider checks this box, then the error "Meal Served to Participant Outside of Participant Normal Schedule" will not be triggered.
- Entering a School Release or Summer Day will prompt the software to look at the participant alternate schedule.
