Meal count entry outside of approved time frame

How it gets triggered

This error gets triggered if the setting for Disallow if meal count entry time is not within approved meal count time frame is enabled and a meal count is entered outside of the approved time. 

  • If your Meal Count Time Frame is "Day", meal counts will be disallowed if they were entered after the day of the meal
  • If your Meal Count Time Frame is "Point of Service", meal counts will be disallowed if they were outside of the meal service time

How to get details

The Disallowed Meals Report will list the participants with this error. For this error, we recommend that you run the Summary version of the report.

What the Provider, Center or Site Can Do

There is no action that a provider, center or site can do to clear this error as it's based on meal count entry time. If there were extenuating circumstances, a provider, center or site should contact their sponsor.

What the Sponsor Can Do

  1. Turn off the setting that disallows meals entered outside of meal time frame.
  2. Create the claim with the disallowed meals and then make a manual claim adjustment to override the errors.
